Cashman Receives Family Owned Business Award

Thursday, May 05, 2011 (Las Vegas, Nevada) More than 250 attendees were present at Nevada Business Journal’s Family Owned Business Awards, held at Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson, NV. This event recognized outstanding Family Owned Businesses in Southern Nevada.

The afternoon awards event showcased companies that embody the entrepreneurial spirit of America’s family owned businesses. Approximately 30 local businesses were nominated in a variety of categories including Whippersnapper (first generation); Don’t Forget to Share (community contributions); When the Going Gets Tough (adaptable); Protector (green/sustainable); Swimming Upstream (minority/woman-owned); It’s Good to Be on Top (successful); Outside the Box (unique product/service); Wave of the Future (technologically savvy); Change is Good (second generation success); and, Wisdom of Age (20+ years).

A panel of judges from the local business community selected Cashman based on their commitment to sustainability, as evidenced by their Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified corporate headquarters in Henderson, NV and their “green employee education efforts.
