Cashman is founded in Las Vegas, Nevada by Big Jim Cashman with the sale of six model sixty tractors to the Hoover Dam Project.

Cashman expands into northern Nevada and opens a facility in Reno.

Reno Service department expands.

Elko store opens.
1987
Major service contract and first large truck sales to Round Mountain Gold Corporation fosters the opening of a Round Mountain location.

Elko facility doubles in size.
Cashman receives Caterpillar’s first Quality Improvement Award.
Reno warehouse moves to a 30,000 square foot facility.

Reno Service department expansion occurs.
Las Vegas facility expands.
1991
Cashman delivers Nevada’s first 994 Wheel Loaders – one of the largest loaders in the world.
1995
MaryKaye Cashman takes on the role of Chairman of the Board.
1999
Cashman achieves World Class certification for its mining rebuild facility, recognizing it as one of the best component rebuild operations in the world.
2000

Cashman celebrates its 70th anniversary.
For the second time, the company achieves World Class certification for its Reno mining facility.
2002
Cashman becomes the western dealership for the Tesmec line of trenching equipment.
2003
Cashman is named Caterpillar’s #1 dealership in the U.S. for Compact Construction Equipment sales.
For the third consecutive year, the company’s mining rebuild facility receives Cat’s exclusive World Class certification.
2004
Reno facility completes first 994 WHL Cat-certified rebuild.
Acquires Spectra Lasers, LLC, a new laser and GPS division.
Parts, sales, and power divisions win the Gold Dealer Excellence Award from Cat.
2005
Cashman’s Las Vegas Power Solutions moves to a new location, expanding operation.
The company as a whole, as well as parts, sales, and power, win the Gold Dealer Excellence Award from Cat.
2006
Cashman turns 75!
Cashman receives Cat’s 5 Star Contamination Control Award.
Cashman’s Power Solutions wins Cat’s Gold Dealer Excellence Award for the third consecutive year, upgrading it to Platinum status.
2007
Cashman breaks ground on new headquarters in Henderson.
Power Solutions wins Cat’s Gold Dealer Excellence Award for the fourth consecutive year, attaining Platinum status.
Acquires CPS, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) company.
2008
Cashman celebrates the dedication of the Southern family’s Habitat for Humanity home, built in part by Cashman Employees.
Cashman opens a new parts facility in Elko (pictured).
Cashman Corporate moves into new headquarters.
2009
Corporate headquarters becomes the largest Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold designated building in NV.
Cashman becomes the 12th member of Cat Auction Services.

Receives “Protector” Family Owned Business Award from Nevada Business Journal for dedication to sustainability.
Expands Power Solutions offerings with Atlas Copco Air Compressors.

Las Vegas Paving gets Nevada’s first Cat CT660 Vocational Trucks.
First in the Americas to become a Cat Certified SOS Dealer.
Receives Regional Supplier of the Year Award from NewmontMining Corp.
2013
Cashman finishes a comprehensive remodel of the Elko store, as well as a 25,000 sq. ft. service shop expansion.
Cashman begins to sell and service Legacy BucyrusMining Products.
2014
Cashman becomes a SITECH Nevada dealership.
Completes renovations and opens a 4,000 sq. ft. laboratory for Cashman Fluids Analysis (CFA)

Becomes a Global Pump distributor in NV and parts of CA.
City of Elko designates company as a Fire Wise Business.
Named Supplier of the Year 2015 by the Associated General Contractors of Las Vegas and the Nevada Contractors Association.

Cashman Equipment and Utah Cat dealer, Wheeler Machinery Co., combine mining and construction technology divisions to create SITECH Intermountain.
Cashman begins a strategic partnership with an innovative wastewater treatment company, HTX Solutions, which offers uniquely engineered technology that removes complex contaminants for mine sites and landfills.

Caterpillar awards Cashman Equipment Rental Services with a Gold level Excellence award for the second time.
Cashman Equipment becomes exclusive dealer and distributor of Getman’s underground, mining-specific equipment throughout their territory in Nevada and the Eastern Sierras.

Cashman partners with Raycore Lights to meet the extreme lighting requirements of the mining, construction, and paving industries of Nevada and the Eastern Sierras.
Cashman Equipment and Interstate Trailers become partners in providing trailers to meet customers’ hauling needs in Nevada and the Eastern Sierras. Cashman joins Interstate’s network of more than 275 dealers nationwide.
