Monday, February 11, 2008 (Las Vegas, Nevada) Today, Cashman Equipment Company announced the appointment of Jim Sands to the position of Reno Sales Manager. Sands is responsible for putting the Reno sales organization in the forefront of the heavy equipment industry in the local marketplace.
Prior to joining Cashman, Sands was employed by a neighboring California Caterpillar dealership for 19 years. During his career at Johnson Machinery, he held a variety of positions within the parts and service departments, as well as the Power Systems Division, before transitioning to the earthmoving side of the business. There, Sands managed Johnson’s Heavy Rentals Department, subsequently moving to heavy construction sales for the past six years.
“The industry experience, customer skills, Caterpillar knowledge and understanding Jim brings with him are the qualities necessary to lead our Reno sales initiatives,” stated Mike Pack, President of Cashman Equipment. “We’re very pleased to have him onboard.”
The Sands family of five has moved from Riverside, California to Reno, Nevada. The change of residence not only provides new career opportunities for Jim, but also the chance to pursue family interests such as hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities.
