For the first time in four years, Caterpillar held Spring Training for sales / rental representatives and coordinators, as well as demo operator trainers. The week-long event discussed New Product Introductions (NPIs) and the details of items like Tier 4 engines and emissions, providing Cat dealership personnel with the information they need to discuss the nitty-gritty product details with customers.
“It was great to renew the camaraderie with neighboring dealers and discuss best practices,” said Cashman Equipment attendee, Jeff Lambert (Southern Nevada Sales Manager). “But it was like drinking out of a fire hose!” While the statement was made with laughter, Lambert went on to say that he has been in this business for nearly 15 years, and it was the biggest Caterpillar information download he’s ever gone through. Features and benefits of the new M2 Series Motor Graders, Paving products, and Tier 4 were a few of the hot topics, but more than 50 products types were discussed overall. In summary of his experience at Tinaja Hills, Lambert stated, “It’s extremely apparent that the market is improving.”
More than 25 Cashman Equipment employees attended and returned to their dealership ready to share what they learned with coworkers and customers.
