Cashman Equipment's corporate headquarters in Henderson, Nevada is the largest Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold-certified industrial complex in the state. The 53-acre campus at 3300 St. Rose Parkway offers customers an expansive parts warehouse, more than 20 service bays, major component rebuild capabilities, enhanced on-highway truck repair facilities, a dedicated building for welding and fabrication, a full service rental center, expanded local dynamometer testing for engines and transmissions, twice the acreage, and one central southern Nevada location for the sales and product support representatives serving our customers. Although MaryKaye Cashman, CEO and Chairman, began the planning process more than four years ago, the facility was constructed in just 18 months, and the building officially opened in February 2009.

• 53 acre property
• 12+ acres dedicated to vegetated, open space
• 7 buildings totaling 308,000 square feet
• 45% less energy is used due to the geothermal heating and cooling system
• 30% less water is consumed through efficient irrigation, retention ponds, and low-flow fixtures
• 814 tons of this site's construction debris went to local recyclers, thereby diverting it from a landfill. That's over 80% of all our waste material and is the equivalent of just over 11 Cat D10 Track-Type Tractors.
• 40% of all materials on the project come from the local region (twice the requirement of LEED® and a financial benefit to the local community)
• 20% of all materials used on the project are post-consumer recycled.
  • The concrete contains 15% fly ash, a by-product of the incineration process.
  • The colored flecks in the terrazzo tile floors are recycled glass and accounts for 50%.
  • The asphalt paving contains 35% recycled asphalt.
  • The carpet is 11% recycled material.
  • The structural steel is 75% recycled.
• There are approx 3,500 individual glass panes totaling over an acre of glass on campus.
• The landscaping features more than 30 species of native plants appropriate for xeriscape, minimizing the need for water. All the trees and plants were hand picked to suit Nevada's desert climate.
• The geothermal heating and cooling system contains 65 miles of underground pipe from 359 wells that are 400 feet deep, which feed into loops in the automated central plant.
• Strategically positioned aluminum solar shades will help prevent direct sun from entering the buildings, address seasonal weather changes, and minimize light exposure.
• The installation of high performance glass panels allows visual transmittance with limited solar heat gain. This is a difficult balance to meet, as the entering light brings heat as well. The collaborative efforts of the owner, architect, and contractor accomplished this difficult feat and captured two LEED points, which are rarely received at the same time.
• MechoShades are installed throughout the campus providing sun control, maximizing light and minimizing glare. The shades are automated via a "bank control" system through a central computer. Sensors located on the roof of the building tell the shades when to close and open, depending on outside conditions and the time of day.
• All woodwork is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world's forests.
• Every building features occupancy and light sensors (ambient lighting), which uses very little energy.
• CO2 sensors throughout the buildings monitor and adjust fresh air flow to a space to maintain a healthy, pleasant environment for employees.
• The employee break room floors are a wood-based product made with natural dyes and very low volatile organic compound (VOC) level.
• The shop areas in the Rental, Main Service, and Weld Shop buildings have a topping which is not only highly resistant to abrasion, it's also reflective and enhances the abundant natural light.
• Many of the office spaces feature special reflective ceiling tiles redirecting light down into the room. And, work spaces are supplemented by task lighting.
• The beautiful wooden doors in the building are actually low-pressure laminate thermal, made to look like wood. Technology fuses a wood-like skin onto a wooden core, resulting in a 75% recycled door.
• Larger spaces, like the 1+ acre Service shop featuring 20 bays and the extensive Parts warehouse, utilize Solatubes in the ceiling and retractable glass doors to bring in natural light.
• For optimized zone control, large work areas found between the Parts warehouse and the Service bays will be separated by high speed doors, controlled by sensors on fork trucks.
• All furniture is GREENGUARD certified.
• The new training room has wall-talkers - a special wall covering that serves not only as a dry erase board, but as a projection screen as well.
